Esprit 3D is a state-of-the-art patternless lens edger designed specifically for small to
moderate volume lens
processing. Esprit 3D is marketed and distributed worldwide, excluding the United States and Australia.
It employs 3D processing technology, a complete feature set including several bevel, groove and chamfering options, and a user-friendly interface. And because Esprit 3D accommodates several communication protocols, it is highly compatible in most optical shops or small labs. As a result, Esprit 3D is an integrated edging solution that is accurate, flexible and easy to operate.

Multiple machine setup configurations allow Esprit 3D to be tailored according to the lab's needs. Operators can select communication protocol, wheel sets, user interface, language, and a default toolbar.

Esprit 3D offers several methods of entering job information . Operators can simply scan a bar code and download job specific parameters, preset customized settings, or override settings. Esprit 3D's inherent flexibility helps get jobs done accurately and quickly.

Esprit 3D edges all materials-glass, CR39, hi-index, and polycarbonate. And operators can prest the toolbar for the polishing option and types of finish. The polishing option is available for plastic and polycarbonate lenses only. Operators can activate this option by simply pressing a key.

Bevel and Groove Options
Esprit 3D offers several automatic or customized bevel or groove options. When beginning the bevel or groove cycle, probes map the contours of both surfaces to determine lens curve, edge thickness, bevel or groove placement. After completing lens mapping, Esprit 3D displays a screen representation of the finished bevel or groove. Placement is automatic or custom.

With automatic bevel selection, Esprit 3D quickly edges most lenses by calculating optimal bevel placement from the furnished 3-D data. More difficult or specialty lenses can be controlled using the customized bevel option. Choices include: front curve, percentage, or rimless.

Three groove widths are offered for improved fit. Esprit 3D uses an advanced grooving design and computer control to precisely locate grooves in very thin lenses.

New patented chamfering feature accommodates all lens sizes including small diameter lenses down to 24 millimters. Chamfering eliminates the need for any manual pin beveling, reducing lens handling and decreasing the potential for spoilage or breakage. With this new feature, consistency, control, and quality greatly improve.

Automatic maintenance functions such as wheel cleaning , spraying of the edging chamber, a statistics and technical log, and autocalibration enable the operator solve certain problems without technical assistance. If telephone assistance is required, those functions provide crucial information for effective troubleshooting.

Esprit 3D's simple user interface features intuitive icons, text, and color-coded messages for effortless operations. Its vertical design, high definition screen, comfortable height and viewing angle make Esprit 3D the system of choice for everyday use.
