The CLE100 is a robust, tabletop edger, incorporating high-grade industrial components to sustain medium-volume production environments. The CLE100 edges all lens materials including CR/polycarbonate, hi-index, Trivex® and glass. Polish bevels are edged with unsurpassed performance and precision. Fragile and anti-reflective coated lenses are not a problem with the EAS cycle, exclusively developed for those delicate jobs.

Standard Features

The CLE100 incorporates several heavy-duty components, including the reproducer and power module, transfer pins, and the bushing and coupling assembly. Its stainelss steel cabinet provides maximum protection against rust and corrosion.

The operator can call down a job and retreive a shape by using a direct tracer connection, bar code reader, or optional numeric keypad.

Proper lens cutout is ensured, and bevel/groove placement are optomized as a result of using two probes to simultaneoulsy map the contours of the lens surface to determine lens curvature and thickness. Placement can be automatic, or the operator can make custom modifications.

A quick release clamp system allows for multiple size chucks to be installed in the edger. Chuck replacement is fast and easy. A red block is available for frame sizes down to 18mm.

Automatic bevel selection allows the CLE100 to rapidly edge most lenses by calculating ideal bevel placement from the furnished data. More complex or specialty lenses can be controlled using a number of unique bevel options including front curve, percentage, or a simple rimless.

The CLE100 features patented, soft pin beveling technology which improves consistency, control, and quality. It accommodates all lens sizes, including small frames down to 18mm. The need for manual pin beveling is eliminated, reducing lens handling and decreasing the potential for spoilage or breakage.

The patented grooving design precisely locates grooves on very thin lenses. Three groove widths and depths ensure the optimal fit.

The CLE100 features a simple, user-friendly interface with easy-to-understand icons, text, and color-coded messages. Training time is minimal due to the CLE100's ease of operation.

Automatic maintenance functions include wheel cleaning, self-calibration, and a statistics and technical log, which enable the operator to easily perform routine maintenance without technical assistance.
