CTL Generator Series

 

The CTL generator, a manual compact turning lathe, utilizes our patented single-point technology to produce conventional, digital, and free-form lenses for small to mid-size laboratories. CTL uses multi-data points to ensure that semi-finished lens blanks are surfaced, cribbed, and safety beveled in a fast and accurate process. This helps to reduce lens spoilage while optimizing lens and lap cycle times.

 

Similar to the larger DTL generator, the manual CTL generator family continues to offer the same traditional benefits of a dry-cut, advanced lens processing generator that you have come to expect from Coburn.

 

CTL Models:

• The CTL65 base model of the CTL series of generators is the fastest traditional Rx lens generator in its class. This entry-level lathe generator cannot be upgraded to process free-form, however it is an ideal fit for labs familiar with the popular Coburn SL2 series.
   

• The CTL85 is an advanced manual generator that takes conventional and cut-to-polish lens processing to new levels. Designed with expansion in mind, the CTL85 is ready to be upgraded to digital and free-form processing, crib-to-oval cutting, and lens diameter measuring features.
   

• The CTL85^DP model adds both the advanced lens processing digital (free-form) and the lens diameter measuring features from the factory. Lens can be processed using conventional finers & polishers or combined with the MAAT sub aperture polisher for an economical free-form system.
