Gerber Coburn's DTL Generator Wins Award of Excellence

South Windsor, CT   November 28, 2007 -Gerber Coburn’s DTL Generator received the OLA Award of Excellence for “Best in Surfacing Equipment” at the Optical Laboratories Association President’s Banquet and Award Ceremony in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 17. According to the event organizers, “OLA believes it is important to recognize the Ophthalmic Industry suppliers who have made an outstanding contribution to the laboratory community and allied professions. An OLA Award of Excellence is the most prestigious award our industry offers.

Alex Incera, executive director of marketing, accepted the award on behalf of the company. “We are grateful to the OLA members for recognizing the DTL as ‘Best in Surfacing Equipment.’ Bringing home the OLA Award of Excellence is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our employees. We are excited and honored to win this award,” states Incera.

The DTL was first launched to the market at OLA in 2004 and has been installed in optical laboratories throughout the world. It is a high-speed, dry-cut, single-point generator that produces extremely smooth lens surfaces. Available as a manual or fully automated unit, DTL generators offer an expandable platform for conventional or advanced lens processing, improving productivity while cutting operating costs.
