South Windsor, CT- Clement Patry, president, Gerber Coburn announced today the appointment of Beatriz Gutierrez as the company’s new executive director of marketing.

“Beatriz will be responsible for product management and marketing communications, as well as other marketing activities,” said Patry. “Beatriz brings 14 years of marketing, product management, and engineering experience to Gerber Coburn. She will put that expertise to good stead in her role, in which she is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans, driving product introductions, and identifying business and market opportunities while building customer relationships."

Before joining Gerber, Gutierrez spent seven years with General Electric where she earned her Six Sigma Certification and last held a Master Black Belt position at GE Financial Assurance where she led process improvement and change management initiatives in the operations area of the business. Prior to this assignment, Gutierrez held leadership positions in the areas of strategic marketing and product management at GE Supply and GE Industrial Systems. Gutierrez began her career as an electrical engineer at Wisconsin Energy Corporation, then moved to Allen-Bradley, a Rockwell Automation Company, where she started as an applications engineer progressing to senior marketing engineer and later to product specialist in the area of industrial controls.

Gutierrez earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University and an MBA in marketing and finance from the University of Chicago.
